In the year ending 31st March 2017, applications for awards were invited from all eligible secondary schools with the amount of any award being based on pupil numbers.

The individual recipients of the awards were determined by the respective Headteachers.

47 schools were eligible to receive grants totalling 38,275, but in the event, qualifying applications were made by 26 schools and grants of 23,308 were awarded and paid. These ranged from 1,750 to 175 to each successful school.
